Ever found yourself on Pinterest at 3 AM? I’m not saying this is a good thing, or even a planned event, but when the sleeping gods are not smiling on me I tend to find myself browsing through Pinterest in the small hours of the morning. And I’ll hand it to Pinterest, their search algorithm is pretty good.
Take a Stitch Tuesday week 13: Buttonhole Wheel.
Take a Stitch Tuesday weeks 11 – 12: Chevron Stitch and Sheaf Stitch. This week’s design turned out endearing…like ugly Christmas sweater endearing.
Take a Stitch Tuesday week 10: Couching Stitch. Couching on a Couch. So I made it to week 10! That is longer than the “no sweets” challenge of 2018 lasted….3 weeks.
Take a Stitch Tuesday week 9: Cretan Stitch. Back to the earlier cabin block. I had the idea that I could use Cretan and Herringbone stitches in a combo to create something that would resemble a fence, then the plan was to layer in trees to make a forest scene.
Take a Stitch Tuesday week 8: Stem Stitch. Last week’s feather stitch challenge sparked a run of creativity, and along with a couple of cold Seattle days where actual sunlight poked through the drizzle helped push me into dreaming about spring.
Take a Stitch Tuesday week 7: Feather Stitch. This week was a fun challenge opening with feather stitch. Feather stitch is one of my favorite stitches and allows creativity for layering, texturing and seems so organic that it stirred up inspiration for late winter and early spring flower designs to add to the table runner.
Take a Stitch Tuesday week 6: Chain Stitch. I struggled with this stitch, not because it is technically difficult, but because I had a hard time getting inspired with the stitch.
Take a Stitch Tuesday week 5: Herringbone Stitch. My kids like to refer to this stitch as the “hairy bones” stitch. It took me a few tries to get the outcome I wanted, but ended up with double layer, quadruple herringbone stitch.
