I have been going back and forth with establishing my plan for suspension. I know that I want a more performance focused stance which for this vehicle means lowering the car a few inches. My initial plan was to use CPP drop spindles in the front and CPP lowering springs in the rear, add a disc brake conversion in the front and address the rear brakes at a later date.

However, after ordering the drop spindles and rear springs the springs were shipped and the spindles were on backorder with no eta. With the delay I went back to researching suspension options and decided to change everything. So, the plan is do CPP lowering springs front and rear, Wilwood disc brake conversion front and rear, and keep the stock spindles as they are required for air suspension that I will be adding at a later date.

Progress to date:

  • CPP 1 1/2″ lowering springs front and rear – Installed
  • Borgeson Street & Performance Quick Ratio Power Steering Box, 12.7:1 Ratio – Installed
  • Wilwood Dynalite Disc Brakes 12.19″ Drilled and Slotted Rotors front and rear – not installed

Still to purchase:

  • Wilwood Master Cylinder and balancer
  • Brake booster

Once brakes are installed, we should be about ready to start focusing on the body, which I haven’t begin to think about yet.
